Job Spec: Stock Controller

Purpose of role:
To provide assistance to the Production Administrator, by taking responsibility of the stock in the Production Warehouse, as well as the monitoring and control of stock movement to and from the Production Warehouse onto the Production Floor and into the Logistics Warehouse. This position requires a more physical approach to Stock Control – picking of orders, moving stock between Logistics and Production Warehouses. The administration side of the role is specifically with regards to emailing and recording stock on Production Orders.

Education:
Matric

Experience and Skills:
• 2 – 3 years relevant work experience
• Able to speak, read and write in English
• Computer skills
• SAP knowledge (an advantage)
• Mathematical calculations (advanced)

Tasks include and not limited to the:
• Recording and documenting all stock transactions / movements into and out of the Production Warehouses
• Pick and issue stock for Production orders
• Pick and issue and record keeping of an additional stock requirements
• Receiving of goods from Production
• Dispatch of finished goods to Logistics Warehouse
• Random Stock Cycle counts
• Monthly Stock counts
• Preparation of samples and small production orders
• Input into departmental procedures and input into the review work procedures, work instructions, flow charts to identify shortfalls and to implement solutions
• Quality control checks of incoming raw materials and packaging; finished goods
• Housekeeping of assigned areas
• Other duties as assigned
