PASTEL EVOLUTION EXPERIENCE IS ESSENTIAL FOR THIS ROLE
Monitoring stock value across all stores and databases
Maintain re-order levels for stock availability and advising on" dead"
stock and slow moving stock, when possible
Monitoring inventory cost prices for incorrect costs and correcting
cost prices across all stores
Implement & monitor stock counts to reduce stock losses by advising
stock controller of any problems.
Improve customer service levels by carrying out regular system and
stock audits to ensure high standards.
Managing all Goods Received Notes and inventory journals done by
the warehouse and assisting where needed.
Keep all warehouse access restricted, tidy and structured
Ensure that the working environment is neat and tidy and complies
with occupational health standards
Comply with business system policies and procedures and ensure
that such are enforced and adhered to.
Assisting in generating Goods Received Notes for other departments
Imported items are GRV'ed in correctly and management informed of any
discrepancies/shortages
Capturing of Counts after Stock Takes
Ensuring Stock variances are kept to a minimum
Creating of new Inventory Codes and monitoring cost differences in relation to the
selling price
Implementing of new systems where necessary
Problem Solving
Processing of Credit Notes and Return to suppliers
Monitoring stock value across all stores

Visit Stores to check on stock holding, do spot checks on stock on hand

Generating Stock Valuation Reports
Generating Sales Reports for Corporate Stores
Generating Slow Moving Report
Generating Over stock report at Corporate Stores
Generating report indicating sales vs. stock valuation
Generating of all reports required by Senior Management
responsibility to ensure that all inventory info on Pastel is correct
and that all inventory codes are linked to the right categories, inventory
Groups and Stores.
Liaising with Pastel Consultants on any software problems or inventory related
queries and upgrades available
Assist and train all Departments with inventory related issues
Communication with staff and customers via e-mail and telephone
Creating New databases when required and ensuring they are populated
correctly and that the stock corresponds to the actual invoices done
Filing of all documentation related to my work
Responding to all e-mails and telephone queries
To assist any employee with Pastel related problems
To continue with the Hollard BU deduction schedule - Credit controlling function
Ensuring distributions occur timeously
Meeting with customers and finance when stock related issues arise
