Store Manager Job available at an award-winning activewear ladies brand in Cavendish, Cape Town. We are looking for an active and stylish person who has the ability to work independently & use initiative, high attention to detail and who has excellent problem solving skills.

The Store Manager will be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities:

- Maintain the store standards and adhere to company policies and procedures
- Manage the customer experience by locating and selecting merchandise
- Resolving customer complaints in your store
- Training staff and completing Sales Assistant training plans
- Resolving maintenance and IT issues
- Drafting rosters for the store
- Continuously motivating staff and striving to exceed store targets
- Be proactive in your sales approach by up-selling to influence sales
- Create style options for the customer and sell a green approach and organic lifestyle
- Ensure that excellent customer service is demonstrated in the team at all times
- Provide customer with garment product knowledge relating to style, material, care instructions, price and guarantees
- Maintain store merchandising and assist in changing store displays
- Receive purchase payments and accurately handle cash, credit/debit card transactions
- Operate the point of sale terminal, cash register and card transaction machines
- Reconcile the amount of cash in register at the end of shift and bank all payments received
- Process sales and pack purchases appropriately
- Receive deliveries, unpack and re-shelve store stock and check merchandise for any possibledamages
- Assist with regular stock checks as well as neatly restocking shelves, tables and rails with garments
- Be vigilant at all times to minimize stock loss
- Represent the company in your personal presentation and dress

Requirements:

- Must have at least 3 years’ experience as a Store Manager, preferably in the fashion / activewear retail industry.
- A thorough & practical grasp of the day to day management of a store
- Strong problem solving skills and proven ability to use your own initiative
- Knowledge and ability to effectively apply company strategy/ policy/ procedure at store level
- Must have Grade 12, a tertiary qualification in business / retail or marketing would be an advantage
- Outstanding leadership skills
- Ability of manage a functional team

Salary: R10,000 - R12,000 CTC + target based commissions
