SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Store Controller is responsible for the management, purchasing, and replenishment of goods to ensure the relevant stock levels are maintained. He/she is also responsible for establishing and maintaining a good working relationship with Clients and Suppliers, as well as reporting to, and any ad hoc duties requested by Management.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Management of Stock Control
- Check and count all incoming stock and ensure the delivery note balances to the original PO issued
- Ensure the invoices corresponds to the PO issued
- Ensure the stock checking programmes (whether cyclical or ad hoc) are maintained in that the inventory balances with the Supply System
records
- Conduct monthly stock takes to ensure the stock is effectively controlled and discrepancies are minimised. Report any deviations and/or
queries to the Admin Manager
- Monitor all outgoing stock using the correct administrative processes
- Effectively manage the returns process, this includes setting up and maintaining a temporary holding area for returns, seeking refunds from
suppliers for faulty goods, re-entering non-faulty items into stock, identifying any patterns of returns and using this information to make
recommendations for improvement
- Responsible for the correct issuing of materials on picking slips and recording the return of materials to the relevant job
- Responsible for completing Requests to Order forms for material for a job and/or maintaining minimum stock levels required on pre-approval
of the Branch Manager or Procurement Manager
- Responsible for verifying physical stock quantities against stock ledgers using either manual or electronic means
- Ensure that all stock received is timeously captured, and that GRN’s and invoicing has been sent to Head Office for capturing
- Establish and maintain a good working relationship with new and existing suppliers and manufacturers in order to ensure the Company
receives good service and value
- Assist with the sourcing of new products
- Implement, control, and improve storage processes
- Contribute to the achievement of safety and environmental objectives by providing leadership in the areas of safe working practices and
housekeeping
- Carrying out spot checks and audits
• Health and Safety Responsibilities
- Report any deviations that could lead to an accident
- Participate in Safety Training to improve safety standards
- Report incidents and accidents before the end of a shift
- Adhere to the Company's Health and Safety policy and procedure
- Look after your own safety and that of other employees
• Any other reasonable duties and responsibilities in line with your capabilities and at the request of your Superior

JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Stores Controller
• Extensive knowledge of Syspro and MS Office
• Must have Industry and product knowledge
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must have general office administration skills
• Must have a valid driver’s licence and own vehicle
