Our client requires the services of a suitably qualified, well-motivated and results driven Strategic Business Analyst in the Investment Division to be appointed in Centurion, Gauteng.

Purpose
The purpose of this role is to support the development of business cases for new transactions and support the business in development of the narrative / rationale associated with CAPEX applications. The position will work closely with ICD’s Financial Director in supervising a team of analysts / consultants and reporting to Director of Investment and Corporate Development

Key Performance Areas
• Conduct relevant research within new or existing markets
• Develop competitive analyses
• Stay current on relevant industry trends; identify new opportunities
• Manage due diligence process of assigned new ventures
• Conduct relevant industry expert interviews; conduct independent desktop research
• Identify relevant implications on the business
• Develop a point-of-view on new projects (CAPEX, M&A, etc.) based on data analysis
• Participate in financial evaluation of projects
• Coach and develop junior resources in development of business cases, industry reports, financial models, etc.
• Identify relevant external training for team

Required Qualifications / Experience
• Preferably minimum Honours degree in Business Management, Economics, or Finance
• Master’s degree in Business Management, Economics, or Finance is will be an advantage
• At least 5 years relevant experience
• Experience in Management Consulting required
• Knowledge of the agricultural industry would be an advantage
• Superior PowerPoint and Excel capabilities
• Strong business judgement and ability to deal with complex matters
• Strong verbal presentation skills; experience presenting to senior audience
• Strong analytical, qualitative and quantitative skills
