Strategic Business Analyst
Introduction

This global corporate is currently looking for an Strategic Business Analyst, who will be responsible for the execution of strategic cross-functional initiatives to support the Managing Director’s agenda.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience Required:-

B.Com / B.Sc in Finance or CA qualification.
Minimum 5 to7 years’ experience in financial planning/commercial banking/consulting/process management.
Experience in developing a business case. Strong communication, presentation and problem solving skills.
Strong business analytics, financial planning/forecasting, and/or business/strategic planning experience, along with substantive experience with financial analysis and modeling/scenario planning.
Project management skills.
Working expertise with Microsoft Office; including advanced level of proficiency and hands-on experience with MS Excel and exceptional data handling skills (i.e., must be able to efficiently and effectively handle/manipulate data from multiple sources).
Ability to convert data into useful insights.
Valid driver’s license, ability and willingness to travel locally and internationally on a regular basis.
Understanding of the company’s downstream operations will be an added advantage.

Key Performancae Areas:-

Use analytical methods to understand, predict and enhance business processes, with a strong focus on financial performance.
Conduct quantitative and cost benefit analysis of the Operational Expenditure to find opportunities for productivity, profitability and profitable revenue growth management.
Explore innovative opportunities to diversify income statement, mitigate risk and support the business transformation agenda.
Support best practices by scouting and standardizing market research methods for novel ideas and insights; strategic innovation; promoting open innovation; and introducing in-country tools and processes that encourage creative thinking.
Uphold the application and continuity of legal compliance within the functional area.
Collaborate with key stakeholders with regard to streamlining the business and creating opportunities for profitability and innovation.
Assemble and analyse data, performance trends, scanning industry trends, identifying problems/root causes and developing recommendations for improvement and implementation for strategic initiatives.
Review key risk areas identified through analysis and develop action plans to ensure improvement.
Act as Advisor in the translation of analytic insight by serving as a key business Advisor to the Executive in the translation of analytic insights into solid recommendations.
Examine the business workflow and find ways to streamline supply and demand business processes.
Evaluation of current reporting tools and processes and the appropriate design & development of new/modified functionality, reports, forms, and systems/tools interface in order to implement and streamline reporting needs, reduce redundancy, and establish standardization to support an action orientated environment.
Work on confidential exploratory work in new business, partnerships or innovations.
Administer the Managing Director’s projects, including co-ordination of feedback sessions from work stream leaders, attending to any outstanding actions resulting from previous meetings and keeping record of all documents and communication relating to the project for efficient retrieval and response.
Champion innovation; identifies innovation opportunities and translates ideas into actionable and profitable projects.
Support the Managing Director on any ad-hoc business analytics, fact finding, and business case development requests.
Support the Director’s work-streams on request of Managing Director to enable timeous delivery.
