The Health Foundation is a not for profit company that was established to facilitate innovative partnerships and mobilise resources for priority public healthcare projects. The Health Foundation has an official co-operation agreement with the Western Cape Government Health Department.
The Supportive Parenting Programme
The Supportive Parenting Programme aims to support families to make healthy choices within the First 1000 Days of life, from conception through the 9 months of pregnancy until a child is 2 years old. The Supportive Parenting Programme does this by equipping community and facility based workers to provide health promotion and education support material to parents. The Supportive Parenting Programme is a partnership between the Health Foundation, the Western Cape Government Health Department, the Mikhulu Trust, the Institute of Security Studies, and the University of Reading.
