Our client, a leader in the Aviation industry, is looking for a dynamic individual to take up the role of a Stress/Fatigue Engineer (Transmission / Dynamic Components) and become a part of their team.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
Structural analysis of helicopter dynamic components (typically transmission & rotors), including :
• Specification and analysis of dynamic component fatigue tests.
• Fatigue analysis of helicopter dynamic components.
• Determination and analysis of fatigue service life limits.
• Vibration analysis and dynamic response for various aircraft applications.
• Compilation of flight test requirements as applicable to fatigue and dynamic components, as well as analysis of test results.

Design of dynamic components, including :
• Define fatigue loading and fatigue design philosophy for design of dynamic components.
• Determination of overhaul limits for dynamic components as applicable.
• Design of repairs and rectification actions on helicopter dynamic components.
• Condition monitoring of dynamic components including the use of oil sampling and vibration analysis.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Academic Qualifications:
BSc Engineering (Mechanical or Aeronautical)

Type of Experience:
Minimum of 5 years (if BSc) or 3 years (if MSc) Engineering Experience, preferably aircraft-related in one of the following fields:
-Understanding of the principles of structural fatigue, damage tolerance and airworthiness.
-Knowledge of material selection and transmission component manufacturing processes.
-Familiarity with configuration procedures relating to documentation and drawing compilation.
