Our client is one of the most diverse consulting firms in Africa. They are looking to further their strategic business expansion plan and are looking for an experienced Structural Engineer/ Bridge Engineer.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Engineering degree (BSc / BEng) / BTech Structures
  • ECSA registration as a Professional Engineer (PR. Eng)
  • 5 - 10 years’ Senior Structural engineer experience
  • Experience in water retaining structures is essential along with at least 5 years professional engineering experience related to reinforced concrete and structural steel construction.
  • Detail oriented with strong skills in structural analysis
  • Client liaison and project management
  • Proficient in Auto CAD, Revit, Prokon and MS Office
  • Ability to understand how a structure will behave and what results to expect from an analysis.

 

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

  • Collaborate with Head of Department of structures in Bloemfontein in all aspects of Structural Engineering projects i.e.
  • Direct, coordinate, initiate, plan, execute and monitor Projects
  • Lead project design teams
  • Manage budget
  • ISO compliance
  • identify training needs in department, upgrade skill set by liaising with H/R.
  • Demonstrate integrity, lead and supervise to achieve the company business objectives
  • Health and Safety management:
    • Role model standards for SHEQ performance and behaviour consistent with the company’s health, safety, environmental and quality vision and policies by influencing internal and external stakeholders
    • Contribute to the identification of SHEQ risks and driving processes to achieve Zero Harm
    • Embrace, display and promote the company values and ensure a safe working environment is maintained always
