Independent investment banking and advisory firm with a specific focus on corporate finance, advisory services and financial structuring seeks an experienced structured finance dealmaker (Structured Solutions Principal) to join their dynamic team in Johannesburg.

Position Purpose:

•To successfully originate, structure and execute transaction opportunities generating sustainable revenue streams for the division.
•To identify new opportunity sets and develop solutions, both of a targeted and wider application basis.
•Transaction size will typically range from several hundred million ZAR to several billion and can entail client specific technology or generic products suitable for the retail or institutional markets. In addition these can be either on or off balance sheet from the division’s perspective.
•To ensure retention of existing clients and transactions.
•To incubate and develop junior team members, ensuring a transfer/ duplication of skills.

Reporting to: Head of Structured Solutions SA


Summary of Key Responsibilities:

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications:
•CA (SA) or equivalent qualification
•Minimum 7 years experience in financial services with a legal, tax or accounting background.

•Strong negotiation skills (including contract negotiation)
•Financial modelling
•Strong tax knowledge/background
