SUB LEVEL CAVING (SLC) TECHNICIAN, LIME ACRES (NORTHERN CAPE), RNEG, CV
• Grade 12 or equivalent
• N4 in the field of Engineering Studies
• Valid Trade Test Certificate ** Diesel Mechanic/Fitter/Electrician
• 5 years post trade test experience in a trackless mining environment
• Working knowledge of underground trackless machinery including drill rigs will be an advantage
• Computer literacy (MS Office)
• Valid driver’s licence

Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Diagnose and test components with the assistance of computers/PLC/Electronic equipment
• Attend to machinery breakdowns
• Conduct fault finding on machinery and electronic systems according to standard operating procedures
• Perform lock-out activities as and when required
• Loading of software and calibration of relevant equipment
• Dismantling and removal of engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components
• Ensure personal and co-worker adherence and compliance to Security and Company SHE objectives
• Inspect materials, products or equipment to detect defects/malfunctioning and report accordingly
• Service underground SLC machinery for better productivity and performance
• Ensure effective handover between shifts
• Perform risk assessments as well as monitor and maintain a safe and healthy working environment
• Conduct general drilling responsibilities during Long Hole Drilling operations
