Main Functions:

Sales Distribution Execution:
• Arrange, monitor and execute distribution by rail, road and sea for ferrochrome and chrome ores based on approved contracts
• Manage customers, service providers and resources required to optimise the value chain
• Ongoing liaison with production, finance and service providers on parcel availability and updating shipping schedules
• Implement approved sales and distribution solutions to optimise delivery of material on time in full and on specification
• Communicate, monitor and report status of shipping plans on a regular basis to relevant parties
• Monitor performance on sales and service contracts continuously and intervene when necessary
• Routinely verify that all rated paid are competitive and services provided are efficient

Coordination with production and finance:
• Ensure reporting formats and arrangements are in place and adhered to for smooth, efficient and up to date information sharing with production, finance and relevant managers
• Attend daily meetings to ensure production, finance and marketing are aligned on all sales planned and take action where necessary to ensure on-time in full delivery on orders

Budget Control:
• Execute and monitor all distribution activities nd expenses within budget and motivate any expenses exceeding budget
• Report monthly costs and attend cost meetings

Regulatory and other reporting:
• Complete and compile reports to Exco and ad hoc
• Manage rail siding agreement and ensure compliance
• Ensure all road, rail and vessel movements for the companies material comply with regulations
• Ensure compliance with J-Sox, internal audit findings and company policies

Service provider and site visits:
• Attend quarterly rail and port meetings
• Attend to any distribution and quality/quantity matters at customers, service providers and sites

Management of Direct Reports:
• Ensure Sales Administrators are equipped, trained and skilled to handle their responsibilities
• Ensure all sales distribution activities, schedules and plans are accurately captured and released internally
• Ensure direct reports adhere to all relevant company policies and procedures

Requirements:
• Relevant Tertiary Qualification
• 5 Years Logistics experience at a Supervisory level or above in Mining or Manufacturing Industry
• Microsoft Office Package
