Purpose of the Job:
IPBR advises clients in assessing, designing, integrating and monitoring all aspects of their organisational security processes, ensuring that these processes are well defined, managed and optimised in order to mitigate information risk and release value from information security.

Main Functions:
• Network security, including firewalls, routers, intrusion prevention and access control
• Security architecture, including the establishment of secure perimeters, DMZs, authentication systems and event detection.
• System security, I.e. Configuration and management of operating systems including Microsoft, Unix (midrange and mainframe advantageous), databases including MSSQL, Oracle, Siebel, and network devices including Cisco.
• Security governance, including ISO2700x, NIST, ISF, or other relevant standards and frameworks.
• Security testing, including Nessus, Qualys, Accunetix or equivalent tools.

Requirements:
Qualifications and experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or Socio Informatics.
• Additional certifications beneficial including CISA, CISSP, CISM.
• Minimum 3 years work experience in cyber security and/or auditing roles.

Critical Technical Skills or competencies:
• Ability to supervise a project, from scoping to final deliverable, including a demonstrated ability to manage small teams, budget, quality review and client engagement.
• Strong knowledge of audit and control frameworks, including COBIT, ISA3000, and other relevant international guidance.
• Ability to write proposals, research materials and presentations relating to cyber security, demonstrated through knowledge of current trends, threats, topical issues, as well as through example written work.
