SUPPLY CHAIN DATA ANALYST / VALUE CHAIN ANALYST / INDUSTRIAL ENGINEER (EE)

Market related salary
The successful candidate will possess previous experience in the art of Inventory optimisation within the total Supply Chain as well as a passion for analysis in understanding and executing optimal inventory management. Therefore, the successful candidate will also need to have a balance between exceptional analytical skills (understanding the relevance of data and compiling it) and the ability to interpret analysis output (what does it mean and what how can it be used to solve real world problems).

Your responsibilities will include:

Understanding the current state of inventory levels within the Supply Chain and benchmarking against comparative businesses
Development techniques and rules sets around how inventory should be optimised within the Supply Chain to especially reduce Inventory transfers within the Supply Chain
Continuous enhancement and review of Inventory state, ageing and related holding costs
Providing high quality analysis to the Supply Chain Development team around Inventory optimisation
Providing inputs for the further development of Supply Chain network model and strategy in conjunction with the Analytics team and wider Supply Chain division
Bridging gap between problems cases and data, from multiple data inputs and systems
Development of Inventory optimisation models for the group
On-going alignment with Retail department on stock cover and related issues and informing of buying decisions by Retail department

Qualifications:

Industrial Engineering, B.Comm Quantitative Management, B.Comm Logistics, B. Comm Operations Research or similar degree preferred
High level of proficiency with MS Office packages with proven advanced proficiency in Excel
Competence in SQL or other database software
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Inventory optimisation or similar industry

Preference will be given to PDI candidates in line with our client’s National EE Plan.
