Requirements
A Valid Tertiary Qualification in Supply Chain Management or related field;
Minimum Five (5) years’ experience in supply chain management in a public sector or state owned entity, two of which should be in a managerial role;
Thorough knowledge of the PFMA Act 1999 and the PPPFA Act 5 of 2000 , Supply Chain Management practice notes and Treasury Regulations;
Computer Literacy in MS Office and an accounting system, preferably ACCPAC;
Knowledge of contracting, finance, budgeting and cost-control principles;
Proficient written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills;
Ability to motivate teams and work within tight deadlines,
Ability to function efficiently with minimal or no supervision,
Ability to partake in and facilitate group meetings.

Responsibilities
Development; implementation and monitoring of supply chain management system in compliance with the legislative mandates of public entities
Management of supplier performance , including negotiating short / long term supply contracts with suppliers;
Contract Management, demand management, acquisition management, logistics management, disposal management, risk management and performance management
Mentorship and development of effective procurement personnel.
