A reputable company is urgently seeking a Supply Chain Manager. The suitable candidate must meet the following criteria:
• Complete Degree/Diploma in supply chain management and/or an equivalent combination supply chain
• +10 years working experience in supply chain management
• Planning and organisational skills
• The ability to motivate and lead a team
• spoken and written communication skills
• Problem-solving and be able to work in a pressurised environment
• Good geographical knowledge of the Kwazulu Natal Region
• Pastel Knowledge
• Drivers licence
Responsibilities
• Plan, develop, organize, direct, manage and evaluate the personnel, operations and budget of an organization’s supply chain or a supply chain services company
• Lead and manage production planning, customer service, purchasing, inventory control, forecasting, warehousing, transportation and other areas as required
• Develop analytics, systems and data management capabilities, including metrics and reports
• Direct, coordinate, assign, monitor and review the work of individuals engaged in supply chain related duties
• Manage vendor relationships (e.g., third party logistics)
• Oversee organization wide management of the strategic sourcing, procurement, contracting, and evaluation of services
• Manage / coordinate the sales and operations planning process including supply / demand forecasting,
• Direct and manage corporate governance and regulatory compliance • Identify and manage risk within the supply chain •
Establish key performance indicators, monitor ongoing performance, and improve performance against set
Resolve work-related problems and prepare and submit progress and other reports •
• Manage contractor and subcontractor activities, reviewing proposals, developing performance specifications, and serving as a liaison with the organization
• Identify potential projects to deliver changes and improvements to the supply chain and commission
