A reputable company is urgently seeking a Supply Chain Manager. The suitable candidate must meet the following criteria:

You'll need:
• Complete Degree/Diploma in supply chain management and/or an equivalent combination supply chain experience
• +10 years working experience in supply chain management
• planning and organisational skills
• the ability to motivate and lead a team
• spoken and written communication skills
• problem-solving and be able to work in a pressurised environment
• good geographical knowledge of the Kwazulu Natal Region
• Buildsmart Knowledge
• Drivers licence
Responsibilities
• Review current SCM business processes, policies, practices and procedures
• Manage and drive the compilation of content for all SCM policies and the Standard Operating Procedures
• Manage the SCM function centrally and implement systems and other support structures to facilitate this.
• Lead and manage production planning, customer service, purchasing, inventory control, forecasting, warehousing, transportation and other areas as required
• Manage / coordinate the procurement planning process in order to ensure that the clients needs are met at the right time, price and quality
• Implement proper supplier database processes to facilitate quotation processes, tender processes
• Negotiations with suppliers to achieve best value
• Conduct a vetting process prior to the appointment of any new subcontractors
• Secure business contracts with reputable suppliers.
• Manage all correspondence, communications and requests for compliance documents with potential suppliers, existing suppliers and other inquiries.
• Provide applicable SCM training, coaching and knowledge sharing to team members
• Establish key performance indicators, monitor ongoing performance, and improve performance against set goals
• Stay informed of advances in supply chain technology and approaches, and apply within the organization in order to improve supply chain processes
