Supply Chain Manager

Area: Boksburg

Salary: R40000 p/m

Purpose of the position: Pilot the key Supply Chain Operations in the Cluster to ensure that sales opportunities are captured and commitments respected.
In compliance with legal and fiscal internal control rules, ensure that all commercial administration activities in the Cluster are managed in line with Group guidelines.

Duties and KPI’s:
1. Defines & manages stock holding policy, service level in conjunction with strategic marketing plans.
2. Manages demand planning in such a way as to secure the right stock at the right time.
3. Maintains the supply of inventory in line with Business ambitions, stock norms & logistics costs ambitions
4. Develop the team to ensure that the right skills are in place to manage the supply chain & Sales Admin process.
5. Keeps inactive and overstock/deficit at or below the target levels
6. Understands & addresses Customer pain points to improve Service to Customer
7. Drives simplification with Commercial teams and ensures IC procedures are implemented & followed
8. Demand Management
• Prepare & help facilitate region Cluster Collaboration meeting
• Involve Sales and Marketing teams and ensure their accountability in Cluster Collaboration process
• Document demand risks and opportunities (at customer level if relevant)
• Steer demand forecast accuracy and apply corrective action plan
• Reconcile forecast variance analysis with business trends and recommends progress plans to organization
9. Operational processes
• In collaboration with the sales management, drive the management of the demand
• Ensure the right coordination with regional SC& Log teams to ensure the right level of supply to ensure achievement of Cluster Sales plan
• Build Dashboards, measure & share performance and communicate to all stake holders in the cluster to ensure the right business decisions are taken
• Ensure compliance of all processes; alert if deviation; drive improvements in scores in line with Group guidelines
10. People Management
• Have people progress according to business model”. Improve the quality of management, train & develop. Develop diversity within the teams.
• Ensure the right competencies in the team to respond to changing customer needs

Relevant degree/diploma
Minimum of 5 years relevant experience

Inventory management
Marketing & sales
Data management
Have an understanding of E2E Supply Chain & Log process
Have worked in at least one of the following domains: Supply Chain Operations, Demand Planning
Must have People / Team Management experience
Should have worked in an Organization with some international exposure
Must be Analytical, Ambitious & Determined
