Calling all Supply Chain Guru's... My client is seeking the right candidate who will co-ordinate and control processes associated with the procurement of goods and/or specific services through interaction and communication, internally and externally, on aspects pertaining to the availability of goods and/or alternatives, pricing, quality, lead times and service delivery standards against terms and conditions. Qualifications: Tertiary qualification in Logistics/Commerce At least 3-5 years’ Supply Chain-related experience (planning, purchasing and distribution) Knowledge of SCM processes, policies and procedures Duties: Ensure compliance to the Preferential Procurement Act and other relevant legislation for every acquisition • Prepare reports detailing the status of suppliers/vendors engaged with the Authority in respect of quality and service delivery standards • Manage and facilitate the bidding process for acquisitions that exceed certain thresholds • Assist in the drafting of contacts and service level agreements (SLAs) with all suppliers to the FSTA • Conduct market and industry analysis for the identification of suppliers inclusive of commodity analysis • Ensure that goods and services required by end users are obtained at the correct time, price and places and that the quantity and quality will satisfy the needs • Assist and participate in the development of specifications/terms of reference and special conditions of contract for the acquisition of goods and services • Establish the status of the order after approval through to delivery: Communicate with the supplier on issues pertaining to short delivery, damages, etc • Collect information on the needs of different divisions so as to compile a consolidated demand plan for the FSTA • Conduct quality checks of goods and administrative systems and discuss deviations with suppliers to facilitate and ensure rectification, any other functions may be included as per CEO's request.
