Supply Chain Specialist - Cape Town

Our client is looking for a Supply Chain Specialist who has current experience within the aviation industry Responsibilities • Identify and prioritize procurement projects within spend area scope • Vendor selection and negotiation process • Ensures compliance to the procurement policy and PFMA • Establishes and maintains contractual and business relationships with suppliers • Develop action plans to close gaps in procurement activities • Through proactive engagement with the user department, identify and manage issues that could affect the ability of company to meet customer, corporate, community and stakeholder expectations • Assists user departments in the request for tender process (RFP) • Manage internal stakeholders’ demands with a view to safeguarding the assets of the company Minimum Requirements • Must have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent • 4 years experiene in managing customer service relationships • Understanding of the PFMA and the public procurement environment is required • Contract negotiation and post-award contract management • Knowledge of contract management principles is required • High business acumen: an understanding of basic business processes, assertiveness and influencing ability • Self-starter and strong team player • Must have good planning, organizing and communication (verbal and written) skills • Be able to work under pressure and be prepared to work odd hours • Must be prepared to travel if necessary • Advanced Microsoft office skills a must. • Good communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation) • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines • Information monitoring and the ability to always follow-up • Attention to detail • Microsoft office skills a must • Time Management
