SOFTWARE SUPPORT MANAGER
Synopsis: The Support Manager ensures outstanding support to customers and monitors delivery in relation to Support Contracts.

EXPECTATIONS:
Willing to Travel to Client Sites as and when required, willing to resolve urgent issues* outside working hours, Performance- and overall Management of Staff in the department, working overtime as and when expected, portray ethical and professional conduct, deadline driven, attention to detail, time management.

DUTIES
Reduce departmental and company overheads inclusive of unnecessary overtime,
Avoid penalties by prioritising software related issues,
Ensure client acceptable support timeously and within budget constraints,
Ensure adherence to set departmental delivery deadlines
On-time Report submission
Draft Risk List and Mitigating strategies
Improvement of the department Reporting process and control
Recovery of additional costs in relation with additional scope of work delivered
Implementation of preventative software maintenance
Maintenance of the Hard Cat system

SKILLS REQUIRED
Applicable Tertiary Education
Track Record of the company's and 3rd party Software knowledge: Informix, UNIX, SQL, Linux
MS Office
Experience in people management
Analyst
Troubleshooting
Excellent People Management Skills
