Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, intervene, and report on patient’s condition
• Quality management of all record keeping including schedule drug registers, nursing documentation, quality checks, doctors’ orders and stock
• Administrative duties when assuming the role of in-charge
• Create a continuous teaching situation
• Evaluate, intervene and resolve any patient complaints and queries
• Serve as an effective role model leadership for junior staff, according to the standards of the hospital group
• Ensure professional practice aspects are adhered to as laid down in the Nursing Act and SANC regulations
• Maintain a high standard of nursing care

Requirements:

• Must have Matric certificate
• Registered with SANC as a Registered Nurse
• Minimum 3 years’ post qualification experience in a Surgical ward

• High energy levels and tolerance for stress
• Good work management, planning and organisation skills
