Large Manufacturing company based in Ladysmith is looking for a person to join their Management team

Must have a 3-year tertiary qualification (BSc, Social Science degree, Environmental Studies, Business Management or B Tech)

2-5 years’ Operational experience in Sustainable Development Management (including B-BBEE) and in-depth knowledge of B-BBEE and its amendments, the Employment Equity Act and Skills Development Act.
Knowledge of MerSeta .
The role furthermore demands exposure to sustainability monitoring and reporting processes (GRI Framework) and knowledge of ISO Standards 14001, 18001 and 50001.

Key Responsibilities:
Plan, advise and manage the implementation of Sustainable Strategy, Framework and Reporting Index for the Company
He/she will ensure alignment and support of SRSA’s Sustainable Framework through monitoring and reporting (monthly and quarterly) on the performance of all Sustainable Development (including B-BBEE) strategic themes.
In addition, he/she will manage Sustainability Initiatives that enhance corporate reputation with both internal and external stakeholders.
Focuses include: • Strategy development • Management of sustainability projects and initiatives • Monitoring and reporting • Development of a Sustainability Index for SRSA • Stakeholder and public relations management.
The skills set required encompasses project management, good relationship management abilities and networking, strong analytical, excellent numerical ability and strong verbal and report-writing.
A good understanding of the context of legislation and government priorities
