One of our clients in the electronic payment services based in Johannesburg, is seeking a Swift Engineer, to provide technical support to existing as well as new implementations to SWIFT Bureau customers in South Africa as well as across Africa. This must be done in support of the organisation’s business and product strategies, according to BSV IS’s standards and methodologies. The candidate must be willing to travel as required by the business and maintain after hours support as defined by standby procedures in assisting in maintaining the environment.

Job Description:
• As part of the Bureau team:
o Install all Swift related products.
o Install AML products (FircoSoft)
o Install Test & DR environments locally and out of country
o Configure and maintain all Swift related products for the Bureau and Bureau customers
o Monitor Swift servers onsite and offsite
o Daily, weekly and monthly maintenance of Swift Servers
o Maintain Customer Helpdesk and Call Centre and proactively maintain and report on related open calls.
o Review and maintain internal connectivity network connectivity as well as maintain Swift’s network connectivity
o Maintain all Swift Certificates across all Swift Platforms
o Maintain Disaster recovery site
o Maintain Customer Relationships
o Maintain all SLA’s to Clients
• Organise, plan and deliver pro-active technical presentations, demo and workshops for prospects, customers and key account teams.
• Provide expertise in SWIFT and AML Solutions.
• Assist in responding to detailed customer requests and proposal and drive POC/Pilot executions to completion.
• Participate in sales process and provide the proactive communication to the sales team to promote, and sell the solutions.
• Remain up to date with market direction by understanding customer requirements and SWIFT product direction alignment.
• Remain up to date with relevant technical certification to support the organization’s technologies and direction.
• Willing to travel around South Africa, into Africa as well as other countries across the world as required.
• Presales support and 1st and 2nd line technical Support.
• Post sales Solution Documentation design.
• Systems Design and Engineering.
• Software Implementation and Support.
• Software Configuration and Customization.
• Software Analysis and testing.
• Assist the business in compiling proposals for new systems and services.
• Manage calls in terms of escalated call times.
• Communicate to internal and external on call status.
• Escalation of any problems with data or delays in projects to relevant management where necessary.
• Ensuring suitable communication/updates are being provided to internal and external clients on the status of ongoing project work.
• Conduct research on technology, new technology, optimization and alternative technology.
• Understanding the information needs, the business objectives and the market sectors that the organisation Group operates in.
• Standby afterhours support.

Required Qualifications and Experience:
• Matric
• Minimum of 5+ Years of Experience supporting SWIFT platforms and environments
• Exposure and understand Anti Money Laundering associated products and technologies would be advantageous.
• SWIFT Certification would be advantageous.

Competencies:
• Competency in Microsoft Windows, UNIX/Linux (various flavours)
• Knowledge of SWIFT platforms (Alliance Access, Alliance Gateway, Alliance Workstations) and other SWIFT related environments
• Knowledge and understanding of networking
• Experience in Anti Money laundering technologies.
• General knowledge about hardware and networks
