An established, privately owned swimming school in Colbyn, Pretoria is looking for a dynamic Head coach as well as to undertake administrative duties.

Requirements:
• Own Transport
• Qualification in Early Childhood development
• Excellent communication, management and administrative skills
• Administrative skills, attention to detail
• Computer literate
• Teaching and management experience in a swimming school for at least 3 years

Managerial Responsibilities include, amongst other things:
• Manage, motivate and mentor swimming school staff
• Manage leave requests, HR issues, staff schedule, leave, etc.
• Ensure ongoing training and equipping of staff
• Assist the owner in hiring new staff as needed
• Ensuring smooth functioning of the school at all times, including the safety, welfare and hygiene of the facility
• Effective parent liaison at all times

Curriculum, Class program and Academics:
• Liaise with head office in researching and sourcing curriculum
• Oversee planning and implementation of curriculum by teachers
• Set daily schedule for classes and ensure that they are enforced
• Oversee extra lane hiring and transport of swimmers.

Administration responsibilities include,amongst other things:
• Create all relevant paperwork - schedules, application forms, etc.
• Manage applications - obtain all relevant paperwork from new families and file accordingly
• Set out all relevant policies
• Keep all licenses & certifications up to date
• Manage contracts with external providers
• Liaise with accountant regarding parents accounts and payments
• Create and manage relationships with associated schools
