An established and still growing beverage manufacturing company based in Durban is looking for an experienced syrup maker to join their team.

Requirements:
Relevant chemistry qualification
5 – 10 years’ syrup making experience within FMCG industry
Beverage experience

Duties:
Tends to equipment to mix ingredients that produce syrups
Quality Control of products
Tests syrup for sugar content, using hydrometer or refractometer
Determines amounts of ingredients, such as sugar, water, and flavoring, required for specified quantity of syrup of designated specific gravity, using sugar concentration and dilution charts
May blend raw syrups and be designated Syrup Blender
Filter syrup to remove impurities
