Job Description:
SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR/ NETWORK MONITOR
A well-established Financial Service Provider is seeking a System Administrator/ Network Monitor.

Role Purpose:

The position is for an experienced individual to join their OPERATIONS -ENTERPRISE MANAGEMENT team, this Systems Administrator / Network Monitor is required for Event management in a complex and high availability environment

Responsibilities:

Development and Support for Nagios, CA UIM, CA SOI, CA Spectrum, HPE Sitescope to ensure accurate service level management
Systems implementation and the day to day maintenance of the above products
Solutions development based on the above tools set
Continually work to improve the performance and reliability of application suite deployed within the Alarm/Alert Management arena
Implement new functionality and modifications to the Alarm/Alert Management applications as required.
Liaise with business users to ensure technical needs are addressed and met.
Provide on-call after hours support as required.
Promote and support ITIL strategies within the department and externally to customers
Maintain Event Management systems in accordance to agreed SLA.
Seek improvement in technical abilities by keeping abreast new technologies and continually training in our field.
Minimum Requirements:

Matric
IT Qualification / MCITP / Relevant certification
3 - 5 years of related Alarm/Alert Management experience
Experience in supporting Microsoft & Linux technologies
Experience in HTML/CSS coding
Experience in scripting, PERL, JAVA, JAVASCRIPT, VBSCRIPT
Experience in SQL queries, coding, SQL studio
Knowledge or experience in reporting using either MS Access, SQL reporting or CA BOXI
Experience in CA Service Desk, CMDB and Working knowledge of CA Spectrum, CA eHealth Ability to work with the business community in an analyst-to-solution role
Project Management fundamentals and Technical document writing
