Minimum Requirements

? Electronic Hardware/Software Engineering Degree/ Equivalent Qualification
? 5 Years experience in a commercial/military environment at product architecting level
? Code B drivers licence
? Able to travel

Required Competencies/Skills

? Team leadership experience and skills are essential
? In-depth understanding of Systems Engineering Processes and best practice
? Work on previous military product development projects will be a distinct advantage
? Able to define, set and manage related product development processes and best practice
? Ability to be driven by and to drive deadlines
? The candidate should be a self-starter who can work independently
? Experience in local and/or international outsourcing of product development would be an advantage
? Flare, innovation and passion for SW, HW and Signal Processing domain
? Problem-solving skills Key responsibilities include inter alia – KPA’s
? Responsible for primary technical customer interface
? Lead, co-ordinate and drive team across technical domains
? Identifying stakeholders, requirements and use cases
? Architectural/Conceptual design
? Effort estimation and initial project planning
? Progress estimation and updates to project plans
? Risk management and mitigation
? Requirements elicitation, elaboration and definition
? Detailed SW and Signal Processing design and documentation
? Investigate and trade-off design options, performance, timescales, cost and risks
? Responsible for system/product development, integration, qualification, performance and integrity
? Co-ordinate design and document reviews
? Support Continuous improvement of system engineering and development processes
