A large listed company is looking for an Accountant with excellent IT skills who can offer user support of an implemented ERP system (preferably AccPac) and assist with training, troubleshooting and ad hoc accounting projects. Role requires extensive travelling (up to four weeks per month) and should therefore be considered carefully.

Qualification:
BCom in Accounting or BCom Information Systems

Skills & Experience:
Strong Accounting background
Strong IT skills
Experience with implementing (developing and maintenance of) an ERP system; non-negotiable
SQL Database experience or similar

Job Description:
A large listed company is looking for an Accountant with excellent IT skills who can offer user support of an implemented ERP system (preferably AccPac) and assist with training, troubleshooting and ad hoc accounting projects. Role requires extensive travelling (up to four weeks per month) and should therefore be considered carefully.

This role will entail travelling countrywide to various sites with projects aimed at implementing the ERP system, training, testing of systems, troubleshooting and support after the system has gone live, systems control accounts reconciliations and integrity checks.



Please note that implementation of systems such as Pastel will not be considered applicable. This company runs on AccPac and therefore an ERP system such as SAP, Oracle or JDE (financial modules) experience is crucial!

This role will be based in Cape Town but will involve extensive travelling across the country. Incumbents will be home most weekends.
