A fantastic Company based in Johannesburg is looking for an energetic System Administrator to join their team!!

Job Description:
• Maintain database systems to ensure data integrity and efficiency and performance
• Maintain the network infrastructure and diagnose network problems
• Administration of security devices such as firewalls and general network security measures
• Perform routine maintenance and upkeep on IT systems, such as back-ups etc
• Administration on mail server
• Second level end-user support for day to day issues
• Maintain and implement disaster recovery and any network/system documentation.
• Proactively assess, monitor and maintain networks and keep up to date with latest security trends.
• Implement network security measures in order to protect data, software, and hardware
• Recommend changes to improve systems and network configurations, and determine hardware or software requirements related to such changes.
• Confer with network users about how to solve existing system problems
• Maintain logs related to network functions, as well as maintenance and repair records
• Maintain an inventory of parts for emergency repairs
• Perform other related duties as required during working hours
• After hour support on a schedule
• Ability to prioritise – goal orientation
• Ability to deliver reliably and timorously to commitments made

Requirements :
• MCSE or MCSA / MCITP qualification
• Experience with the following:
• SQL
• Exchange
• Hyper V
• Backups
• Advantageous
• Knowledge of operating systems, networking, hardware and software:
• IT Policies
• Anti-virus and End point protection software: (Advantages knowledge of Kaspersky)
• Backups: Symantec Backup Exec
• Microsoft Systems
• SQL Server
• VPN
• Virtualisation
• MS Active Directory
• MS Exchange server
• MS PowerShell
• Technical knowledge of core Microsoft technologies including but not limited to Windows Servers, Active Directory, MS SQL, MS
• CRM, MS Group Policy and core Network / HP technologies such as LAN/WAN, subnets, firewalls, VLANs, and VPN using HP switches and routers
