Software Systems Analyst required for leading IT Company based in the West Rand
Your skills and experience are required to research problems, plan solutions, recommend software and systems, coordinate development to meet business or other requirements and to test solutions. Play a vital role in the systems development process. Write user requests into functional specifications, be the liaison between business and the IT Developers of the business.

Key areas of responsibility will include:

Identify and examine business needs and determine timely and effective solutions to business functions and processes
Evaluate and document the underlying business architecture and conduct feasibility studies, business cases, risk assessments, write proposals, and create functional requirements for new applications and major changes to existing applications made possible by information and communication technology
Compile comprehensive documentation of Test Plans and coordinate testing effort
Document implementation plan and ensure successful implementation
Conduct post implementation review
Implement practical solutions that use the specialist and departmental systems and processes
Provide specialist input and recommendations to improve the efficiency, compliance and quality objectives related to the area of specialization
Identify problems and develop and propose solutions to present to appropriate leader or stakeholders
Ensure day to day operational support required from area of specialization is provided to enhance performance
Ensure that adequate knowledge regarding specialization is shared as required and maintained within the research library
Provide advice and / or training as required
Maintain, develop and implement specialist knowledge within the day to day operations of the organization

Degree or Diploma essential coupled with relevant experience within a similar role
3 - 5 years relevant systems analyst experience. Needs to be familiar with multiple varieties of programming languages, database management systems, computer hardware platforms.
Java and SOA required
PL/SQL, Oracle, Object Orientation, UML (advantageous).
Experience in medical aid, healthcare, insurance.
