JOB PURPOSE:
To analyse business requirements using industry standard tools and methodologies and transforming them into systems specifications.
KEY OUTCOMES
The following outcomes will be expected to be achieved by the Systems Analyst:
- Producing System Requirement Specification through analysing business analysis information (BRS)
- Producing system component flow diagrams using Visio
- Performing impact analysis on the various underlying systems
- Ensuring system designs are aligned with business goals & requirements
- Presenting solution to business analysts, developers and testers
- Supporting developers and testers during the implementation (life cycle)
- Facilitating solution workshops
- Handling queries / errors regarding enhancements of the production systems
- Liaising with project managers for implementation planning
- Implementing the business requirements
- Analysing Data
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Relevant formal qualification / experience in systems analysis
- 2 – 3 years’ experience in the investment industry
- Strong DB2 Database & SQL background (preferably also Stored procedures)
- Strong Mainframe COBOL technical background
- Experience in a COBOL batch environment will be an added advantage
- DB2 COBOL optimization experience will be an added advantage
