An established safari company in Cape Town is looking for a Systems Developer / Web Developer.

Are you an experienced systems developer who easily grasps different programs and systems and understands how to integrate them? Do you have an understanding of website programming, databases and API programming? 

Are you looking to work on the client side, developing and combining custom systems for immediate benefit to the business? 

This role requires to develop our client’s web-based systems, such as their website, MailChimp and their online CRM to the next level, so that they ‘talk’ properly to one another, creating business efficiencies and improved management and marketing capabilities as a result. You will also be working with the group reservation system or their financial systems. 

Requirements: 

• Base skillset: web developer and systems developer
• Minimum five years of programming experience
• WordPress development
• Understanding of databases, typically SQL
• PHP, JavaScript
• Ability to work with APIs
• Good communication and interpersonal skills required that will allow you to have thorough, clear conversations with stakeholders from many different parts of the business
• Ability to assess and understand system capabilities in order to get different systems to ‘talk’ to one another, such as through APIs
• Experience in mapping out systems and implementing solutions
• Strong understanding of CRMs
• Experience in working with C-level executives and senior management
• Enthusiastic, self-motivated, team player

 Beneficial: 

• Additional programming skills, such as ASP, CSS and JQuery
• Additional design/front-end/aesthetic skills
• Travel industry experience
