Our Client requires the services of a Systems Engineer based in the Technology Department in our Johannesburg Head Office. This position is responsible for managing windows servers and provide leadership for system hardware and software support.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Servers ? Management of Dell blade servers ? Ensure that servers have the appropriate anti-virus installed and up-to-date ? Ensure that servers are monitored for performance and uptime ? Update firmware on Dell server and server components VM WARE ? Setup and configure VM environment ? Management of the VM environment ? Troubleshoot VM issues and resolve timeously Storage ? Set up and configure Dell Equalogics storage devices ? Do routine maintenance on Dell Equalogics storage devices ? Ensure that a capacity planning procedure is created and implemented ? Ensure SAN replication takes place Disaster Recovery ? Ensure All recovery systems are replicated at DR, including Infrastructure, DB replication and Software ? Manage Infrastructure DR Plan ? Manage DR Datacentre availability and stability Application Server ? Management of all application servers for all company applications ? Define and regularly review a SLA with affected business users ? Ensure application servers are available in line with agreed SLA Capacity Planning ? Create and / or regularly update a capacity management process and procedure ? Regular review of capacity management monitoring results ? Implementation of appropriate actions to address findings of capacity management monitoring

Experience, qualifications and competency requirements:

? Dell Storage and Server certification
? 5 Years’ Experience
? VM Ware certification
