Support and maintain Microsoft Exchange 2003 and 2010 e-mail and related servers, and directory services as needed, to include maintaining the e-mail environments, researching, planning, implementing, and supporting new technologies, and responding to problems as they arise, whether isolated to a single user or system-wide. Design, installation, administration, and the various business applications supported by tuning the servers as necessary. This includes ensuring the availability of client/server applications, configuring all new implementations, and developing processes and procedures for ongoing management of the server environment, operations
Experience- Knowledge of common Network Operating Systems, Desktop Operating Systems, and Email Server Systems, Microsoft Windows Systems, Active Directory, and Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 and/or 2010
- Experience engineering/sizing, installing, configuring, and maintaining windows servers
- Windows Server Administration
- Windows Server 2000 – 2008 R2 administration
- DNS administration (AD DNS)
- Mail server administration (Exchange 2003 – 2010)
- Webhosting (IIS 6 / 7)
- Strong Windows security understanding (File sharing / access)
- Database administration (MS SQL)
- Linux Server Administration
- General Redhat / Centos administration
- Firewalls (iptables)
- DNS administration (bind)
- Mail server administration (send mail, spam assassin, postfix)

Responsibilities- Providing Systems Administration for a broad scope of different technologies (approximately 25 Windows Servers, 5 Linux Servers, as well as Web Servers, SAN, Cisco firewalls, and switches
- Maintaining the operating system and utility software on all network computer platforms (Windows 2008 domain, Windows Server 2003, tape backup, Active Directory, Group Policy, Linux/Unix servers, etc.) by analyzing, designing, installing, scripting, testing and documenting new functionality.
- Troubleshooting various parts of the architecture in the event of system failures
- Planning, testing, and executing upgrades as necessary to maintain support or improve functionality in a high availability environment (including Linux and Windows servers, web servers, certificate authorities, firewalls, etc)
Skills- Strong Windows Server troubleshooting skills
- Strong understanding of networking
- Strong understanding of general network security, including firewalls, server / sharing permissions
- General understanding of different internet / networking connections (ADSL, 3G, WiMAX, WiFi, VPN, etc.)
- All round strong IT knowledge
- Ability to communicate well with team and customer, both written and verbally
- Attention to detail
Qualifications- MCSE, or relevant experience
