Our client in Midrand requires a Systems Engineer urgently.

Key requirements

· BSc Computer Science or equivalent (other qualifications or work experience will be considered)

· 5 to 10 years working experience

Key abilities

· Experience with Unix/Linux system administration (Ubuntu, CentOS, FreeBSD)

· Some experience with Linux networking (basic routing, VPN, SSH, IPtables, etc)

· A basic working knowledge of scripting languages (PHP, Perl, Python, Shell)

· Experience with database administration (MySQL) and the SQL query language

· Basic networking experience and knowledge (IP, IPv6)

· Experience with network monitoring and management systems (snmpi) an advantage.
