SYSTEMS ENGINEER
Automation & Control Cape Town
This position reports to: BRANCH MANAGER (AUTOMATION & CONTROL - CAPE TOWN)

The Purpose:
The Systems Engineer is accountable to the Branch Manager with regards to all his/her functions. It is the responsibility
of the Title Holder to ensure that he / she is familiar with the contents of this document.

Responsibilities:
The Systems Engineer main duties include inter alia the following:
-a) Produce technically accurate packages in accordance with Company standards, ensuring that the manufactured assemblies comply with the agreed specification in every respect to be achieved within the overall program and budgetary constraints.
b) To review tenders and orders, and produce an engineering solution that will fulfil the specification.
c) Produce technically accurate drawings, project specific parts list’s and other documentation reflecting the agreed project.
d) Ensure all quality requirements are identified and complied with.
e) Manage the customers’ interface as required to ensure all changes are agreed and documented.
f) Create accurate purchase requests for required foreign material.
g) Attend any association meetings relating to your specific division.
h) Implement and maintain contact with senior and middle management o f customers and clients in areas controlled by your division, including specifiers.
i) Recommendation of pricing and discount structure to all customers controlled by your division.
j) Promote and ensure, through process of advice, training and support, the maintenance of the Company’s required levels of product quality and Technical and Engineering competence.
k) Support the Company’s Quality Assurance System and promote Technical and Engineering quality levels within the Engineering division.
l) Advise on and, where necessary, develop and approve product or engineering solutions particular to the needs of the South African market.
m) Review tenders and produce an engineering solution that will fulfil the specification.
n) Manage and maintain cost effective process for quotations of project based systems.
Qualifications & Experience:
? Minimum N6
? Extensive knowledge of electrical engineering and products
? Extensive knowledge of engineering projects and systems
? Extensive knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical
