Job Description:

The incumbent is a senior business consultant focusing on designing and implementing integrated leadership and talent development solutions.
Key tasks include leadership strategy development, leadership competence framework design, facilitation of leadership assessments, driving set targets, vendor management, benchmarking and benefits measurement.
Additionally, the role entails implementation of talent management strategy in terms of talent reviews, manager enablement, talent analytics and reporting, monitoring and evaluation of succession plans.
This role requires high levels of technical competence / experience, but also strong facilitation and interaction skills.
High levels of maturity and EQ are necessary and the ability to deal with complexity and non-linear problem solving.
The incumbent would make a significant contribution in addressing issues of strategic importance and provide input into the Company and HR strategic direction regarding Leadership Development and Talent Management.

Qualifications:

Completed university degree in Behavioural Science ( Industrial /Organisational Psychology) or a related field
Postgraduate qualifications (honours/master’s degree) are preferable
Registered industrial psychologist with HPCSA
Knowledge and understanding of legislation (LRA, EE Act, Skills Development Act, BBBEE, BCEA, etc.)
Knowledge of psychometric assessment methodologies and their application in talent identification and leadership development
Knowledge of insurance or financial services industry would be advantageous
8-10 years of experience in human performance / capital management area
At least 3 years in specialist-type role, preferably in talent management/learning / OD/ change management, functioning as internal/external consult in medium to large corporate
Project delivery experience; exposure to organisational change and introduction of new ideas
Some experience having to influence/ persuade/ lead teams
Basic exposure to HR generalist fields, understanding of recruitment practices, IR, development, pay and performance management
Experience within the Financial Services sector is preferable
