Position: Talent Management Manager
Functions / responsibilities:

• Establish and review recruitment guidelines policies, procedures and standards for the recruitment of talented staff.
• Develop and maintain interview guides for talent related roles.
• Promote appropriate development initiatives for identified talent.
• Design and implement procedures that will support the leadership pipeline philosophy.
• Support Talent Management initiatives to attract and retain high performers, critical workforce segments and emerging talent.
• Facilitate Talent Management/Succession planning meetings from Executive to business unit level.
• Follow-up, measure, and facilitate actions arising from various Talent reviews.
• Coordinate and manage the Talent Pipeline (which includes bridging programs and assessments).
• Developing, sustaining and administering Assessment Centers where appropriate.
• Select the most appropriate assessments and psychometric tests for the recruitment of talent to meet business needs.
• Conduct thorough analysis of assessment results and compile professional and value adding feedback reports, which integrate the results of a variety of tests and relate back to the requirements of the role.
• Provide feedback to management and relevant parties and assist with interpretation or reports/assessments.
• Recommend and / or develop business relevant assessments.
• Ensure all testing complies with the relevant professional, ethical and legal requirements.
• Maintain accurate administration processes and ensure records/information is updated regularly.
• Manage selected business driven projects from end to end.
• Actively involved in the search and growing of Talent.
• Ensure that all service providers have a valid Service Level Agreement.
• Ensure that Service Level Agreements meet legal and business criteria.
• Maintain administration processes and ensure all information/records are accurate and updated regularly.
• Remain cognizant of all spending and ensure expenditure remains within the parameters set by the departmental budget.
• Provide Talent Management expertise, advice, insight and support to all Line Managers, Mentors and Coaches.
• Conduct Talent related organisational research, workforce analysis and diagnosis for the purposes of organisational improvement/pipeline development.
• Consult with Business Units to advise on various Pipeline Development programmes.
• Ensure that various Regulatory and Legislative requirements are adhered to and aligned to the strategy of the business.
• Keep abreast of latest trends and best practices on Talent Management practices.
• Provide excellent customer service to both internal & external customers.
• Assist with the compilation and implementation of the organisational Workplace Skills Plan.
• Maintain key stakeholder relationship.
• Make recommendations to the Group L&D Executive.


• Requirements:
• Relevant tertiary education in HR related/ industrial psychology (preferably a B. degree).
• At least 5 – 8 years’ experience in a HR related role Senior Management Generalist or Talent Sourcing function: advantage having gained same in Retail at a large Corporation.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel
• Computer literate in MS Word, Excel, MS Outlook, PowerPoint at intermediate level
• Excellent planning and organisational skills
• Accuracy and ability to pay attention to detail.
• Excellent English communication skills both written and verbal.
• Strong interpersonal skills and relationship-building skills
• Ability to interpret financial data
