Candidate Requirements
Management and Strategy
Develop and implement strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
Develop and monitor overall Talent strategies, systems and procedures across the Business Unit
Work within the Management team to understand key performance issues and objectives
Provide leadership and expertise in relation to the people aspects of Learnership cycle
Client Engagement
Work closely with the Business Development team and understand client proposal expectation
Liaise with clients and understand recruitment requirements
Manage the recruitment process and ensure deliverables are met
Provide clients with selection and assessment reports
People Management
Manage employee relations
Oversee and manage the performance of the Talent team to drive high performance
Manage key performance indicators (KPI’s) and provide regular performance feedback
Nurture a positive working environment, identify and manage team wellness
Build and strengthen the Talent function in the business unit
Continually develop a culture of strong collaboration and effective team working
Ensure open communication channels with staff and manage change where necessary
Recruitment
Manage and plan sourcing in line with planned forecast
Manage all aspects of recruitment and selection of candidates for learnerships, skills programmes and graduate programmes
Ensure on-line application process is monitored
Ensure data integrity of application process
Psychometric Assessment
Manage the psychometric assessment process
Ensure psychometric assessment process is relevant and aligns to HPCSA guidelines
Disability
Determine reasonable accommodation needs and the provision of accommodation measures
Capacity building and networks in sourcing candidates with disability
Work closely with Occupational therapist in meeting learner and client expectations
Induction
Manage the learner on boarding process
Conduct induction for all new programmes
Further Employment
Ensure integrity of data for collation of further employment process
Build networks and processes for placement of learners for further employment
Service Providers
Ensure that service providers meet commitments as per the SLA
Ensure service providers receive quarterly feedback
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Person must have a good understanding of the following areas: o Knowledge of learner recruitment
Knowledge of the NSDS, SAQA and the NQF
Knowledge and understanding of ICT industry and qualifications
Skilled in the use of Office software packages
Person must be able to perform routine tasks
Legal requirements
Person must be willing to work as a team member
Person must be willing to work under pressure
Person must have excellent time management skills
Person must have excellent planning and organising skills
Person must be results and quality oriented in terms of recruitment and selection
EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE NECESSARY:
Degree in Human Resources or related field
Management Skills
People oriented and result driven
Minimum of five years’ in Skills Development experience required
Excellent communication, interpersonal, people and customer care skills
A relevant human resources qualification or related qualification advantageous
