Job Description:

Management of floor managers, admin clerk, wine ambassadors (students) and kitchen and cleaning staff
Handling general oversight and direction of team members with daily briefings
Assigning/delegating tasks as appropriate to team members
Quarterly staff reviews
Coordinating staff training with RCA
Training/coaching team members as per the RCA training model on procedures, sales, customer service training, one-on-one coaching, and ongoing wine education
Maintaining a working knowledge of the tasting room tasting offerings, different wines we produce, partner establishments and procedures
Providing and taking responsibility for an excellent guest experience and in so doing foster and develop innovative ways to drive sales and customer satisfaction
Stock and cash controls with daily stock takes and cash balances
Setting up of budgets for the Tasting Room and managing those budgets in line with the National Sales Manager
Meeting pre-determined TR sales goals, including revenue targets and meeting weekly with the National Sales Manager to review sales performance
Procurement of all supplies and stock needed to run the TR in line with the set budgets
Executing of all orders placed in the TR
Executing Dine Plan reservations to specifications
Set up and management of events that are held in the courtyard or tasting room with the events staff
Daily set up and stylizing of courtyard and tasting rooms according to Stylist brief
Locking up and setting of alarms at close of day/event
Assisting with hiring and staff recruitment of TR staff/students in line with the Company values
Any other TR duties identified by the National Sales Manager as deemed necessary deemed necessary.
Participating in off premises events as deemed necessary by the National Sales Manager
Working in conjunction with our Social Media officer in achieving the Company goals
Reporting to the National Sales Manager

Qualifications:

Culinary School Diploma/Degree in Food Services Management or Sales/Marketing Degree/Diploma or similar higher qualification.
Cape Wine Academy or similar course required.
3 – 4 years’ management experience within the Food and Beverage Industry, with a good understanding of the local market conditions and dynamics.
Exceptional Product knowledge, including an above average food and wine knowledge.
Good customer relations management as well as strong leadership skills, to manage a large but well-disciplined staff.
Good working knowledge of various computer software programs (Ezy, MS Word, Excel and Outlook)
English speaking with a good command of Afrikaans. Any other languages are advantageous.
No leave is to be taken during December and January
