Qualification:

Tertiary qualification (with Finance / Accounts) will be advantageous

Basic understanding of the Private client business and the stock-broking environment

Experience within a Financial Services industry is essential

Corporate Actions knowledge and experience will be advantageous



Skills & Experience:

Previous experience within Private Wealth industry will be advantageous

Fully bilingual (English & Afrikaans)



Job Description:

Monitoring:

Monitoring and loading capital events based on announcement date and last date of trade

Monitor and address the corporate action exception reports to ensure no discrepancies

Clearing of daily corporate action exceptions & rejections

Ensure accurate interpretation of corporate events and notifying key persons of the event and effect of the event

Detail review of the effect on the client’s portfolio and ensuring that the corporate event reflects accurately

Reviewing journal entries passed in various source systems for accuracy

Review CGT exception reports to ensure data accuracy

Maintain:

A list of events where necessary information is outstanding & needs to be obtained prior to the last date of trade of the corporate event system and ensure that all systems is updated

Engaging with IT and PI² with regards to maintenance issues with the corporate events system

Understanding of tax implications on all events

Assist with maintenance and reconciliation of data with regards to Dividend Withholding Tax reporting to SARS

Review of scrip movement prices
