Well established and independently owned family offices and the largest in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Financial Company urgently requires a qualified Tax Advisor for their JHB Office to start ASAP
Overall Purpose
Advising and consulting with clients on SA tax engagements.
Qualifications
• CA (SA) / BCom /BCom LLB (H Dip Tax / M Com Tax / studying towards advantageous)
• Good working knowledge of Windows, MS Word and MS Excel & MS PowerPoint
• Good communication skills
• Fluent in Afrikaans & English
• Preferably Senior Associate from Law Firm with Individual taxes experience
Principal Elements & Accountabilities
• Writing tax opinions as well as review thereof
• Conduct research and keeping abreast of the latest developments in tax
• Perform tax due diligences and preparing reports
• Provision of exchange control advice and drafting of exchange control applications
• Preparation of tax and deferred tax computations for clients
• Review of tax returns
• Draft objections and appeals to assessments and assistance with SARS queries including
Dispute Resolution with SARS
• Sundry correspondence with SARS
• Involvement from time to time in tax aspects relating to special assignments including but not limited to listings, investigations, due diligence and other investigations, etc.
• Prepare and present in-house training programs.
• Periodic contributions to the in-house technical and other publications

Skills & Experience
• High net worth individual and corporate tax experience essential (international tax would assist the candidate)
• Minimum of 5 - 10 years relevant working experience within a tax environment.
• Accounting knowledge preferred
• Good working knowledge of MS Office
• Good communication skills, both oral and in writing
• Ability to manage multiple assignments
• Strong tax technical skills
• Strong ability to interpret financial information and transactions
• Research and report writing
• Must be prepared to conduct in-house training

Salary: R600k per annum – based on experience. No benefits offered
