Tax Compliance Officer – EE position Cape Town CBD Foreshore

Our Client is looking for a Tax Compliance officer who will ensure that all entities in the group adhere to all tax regulations and laws by ensuring all tax submissions are prepared correctly and submitted on time.

Key Responsibilities

Registering multiple entities for taxes
Preparation and completion of tax returns on time, including collation of supporting documentation
Preparation of all Reconciliations required by SARS for all the taxes
Attend to all related Queries / Objections and Appeals related to the taxes
Will be required to assist with other tax related duties such as applications for Tax Clearance Certificates (Good standing and tenders)
Submission of Dividends taxes and monitoring of the various companies’ overall tax compliance
Providing advice on general tax issues whenever necessary

Minimum Requirements

2 years’ experience within a tax environment
B Comm degree with tax as a major subject
Tax experience – companies/trusts
Must be a proficient SARS eFilling user
Knowledge of SARS procedures and requirements
Experience in submitting tax returns
Ability to handle tax queries from SARS
Audit articles will be advantageous

Required Competencies

Ability to liaise face to face and telepathically with internal clients to discuss their tax affairs
Be able to work with multiple companies in a pressurized environment
Must be deadline driven with minimum supervision required
Word & Excel required
SAGE X3 experience will be advantageous
