JOB TITLE: TAX PROJECT ADMINISTRATOR

Contract Type: Contract – 3-month fixed term contract (possibility of a 1-month extension)

Purpose:The Tax Project Administrator will be responsible for coordinating and liaising with relevant IS teams and staff, Country Representatives and relevant national tax firms, to ensure implementation of agreed actions of the Tax project.

The project scope is looking at approximately 26 countries and 134 staff members

*Minimum Requirements:

Good understanding of International Tax (SA, UK context and other African countries will be beneficial/bonus).
Tax experience with a level of qualification (minimum finance or payroll taxes related).
Experience in working on payroll taxes in a multinational environment.
Experience in running a payroll.
Advanced excel certification.
Project Management certification.
Must have the rights to work in South Africa.
Have proven experience in leading a Project, dealing with multiple stakeholders and working under pressure.
Good organisational and writing skills.
Proficient in English language, written and verbal.
Self-Starter and able to hit the ground running due to the tight project time frame.

*Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Support the project manager and keep track of the deadlines by liaising with stakeholders.
Maintain Project Plan and focal person for progress on Tax and statutory compliance in countries.
Act as the focal contact person for external Tax consultants within countries where necessary.
Responsible for setting up and leading weekly and other Tax project meetings.
Responsible for noting and following up on action points from meetings held.
Maintain all documentation within intranet.
Guide and advise on general tax principles.
Write up guidance document and process to be followed for payroll going forward to ensure compliance. This involves from tax calculation to ensuring that the monies are paid over to the governments by countries.
The role holder will from time to time be required to carry out any other duties that are within the scope of the job
