Our client in Paarl has an exciting new position for a passionate Team Lead Developer to join their Digital division.

Role:

ead the design and development of current and future web application projects.

ork across the full development stack, implement modern technologies, integrate with third-party service providers (e.g. Stripe, PayU, UPS, etc.).

nderstand projects from all perspectives (data, services, business logic and presentation layer).

wn projects end-to-end work closely with Product Manager on requirements, design, and break down projects into tasks.

ork with department heads to understand and implement complex business functionality.

mprove and refactor our back-end service integration, business workflow, and payment processes for performance and scalability.

upport a worldwide e-commerce deployment.

e independent and self-directed.

eliver project assignments on time, within budget and of high quality.

rite design documents for a subcomponent of a larger system, know which teams to work with to launch it, and write well-structured code without much supervision from technical leadership.

ork with other developers to review specifications and ensure that the team meets the objectives of the business while maintaining technical and architectural standards.

Requirements:

ull-stack developer. Experience in front- and back-end development.

+ years of professional software development experience in building, deploying and maintaining web apps.

xperience as a team lead managing/mentoring developers.

roven ability to design, develop and maintain web systems.

eep understanding of web development concepts.

trong experience with MVC, PHP Frameworks, specifically Laravel.

xperience with REST and SOAP web services.

bility to effectively communicate across teams and roles.

xcellent verbal and written communication.

bility to clearly write technical specifications.
