JOB TITLE: FACILITIES TEAM LEADER
JOB PURPOSE
• The successful incumbent will be responsible for ensuring that Harambee facilities is running efficiently by overseeing both employees and equipment. They will be managing from a big-picture view, as well as dealing with details.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Plans, organizes, supervises, evaluates and participates in the work of facilities support staff
• Engaged in providing varied facilities services;
• Reviews and prioritizes assigned work orders; meets with staff to review work requirements and assignments; monitors and inspects completion of work;
• Oversees and participates in managing Meeting / board room to meet customer requirements
• Participates in sorting, preparing, processing, metering, picking up, delivering and distributing mail, interdepartmental mail and packages;
• Assist with budgeting and supervising usage of supplies and equipment for the facility.
• Coordinate and integrate the activities of all operational systems within the facility for seamless efficiency - include but not limited to purchasing of equipment, courier, and scheduling meeting rooms.
• Ensuring that cleaning staff are supervised to regularly execute cleaning procedures throughout the facility.
• Keeps watch over maintenance and repair of facility equipment i.e. kitchen area, Coffee machines etc.
• Maintenance of records associated with operating the facilities team.
• Continually monitor the facility for compliance with Health & Safety regulations.
• Continually find new ways of managing their facilities that reduce costs and improve efficiency, productivity and safety.
• Catering for meetings, employer interviews, mock interviews, knowledge breakfasts, etc.
• Ordering fruit, toilet paper
• Shopping for groceries, furniture, ad hoc stuff that is required in the office
• Ordering / booking pest control to come in every 3 months for fumigation – staying with them until they are completed
• Working some in weekends, when required, to ensure the floors are stripped and sealed
• Signs off invoices and ensure service providers that she is handling are paid

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Must have Matric (Grade 12); plus
• Must have at least 2 years’ experience in managing a diverse team in a similar role
• Must have experience in people development including performance management
• Must have valid driver’s license and own car
• Must be able to use discretion and deal with sensitive information in a confidential and professional manner.
• Must be able to multi-task, prioritise and meet deadlines.
• Must have good interpersonal skills and ability to interact at all Organisational levels
• Be able to communicate at all levels
• Speaking of multiple South African languages will be advantageous
