Team Leader: Supply Chain - Gauteng

Permanent, Salary R11k CTC

Purpose:
To effectively lead and manage a team for the outsourced services of logistics (furniture/retail experience first option) as well to ensure efficiency and contract adherence in terms of client relations, operational performance, commercial and people management and development.

Minimum Requirements:

• Matric; 2 years previous operational management experience including Industrial Relations & HR.
• Be able to work overtime & flexi time if required (including Weekends and Public Holidays) – This is a critical requirement.
• Own reliable transport. Position based in Honeydew
• Extensive office furniture or shop fitting skills & experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the LRA and BCEA and hands-on experience in Industrial Relations (disciplinary enquiries).
• Strong project leadership.
• People management skills including leadership, performance management, people motivation and people development.
• Operational skills: Track record of shop fitting or office furniture management in an operational environment.
• Communication & conflict management skills to successfully deal with all levels, age groups and cultures of staff (3 years).
• Computer Literate: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; SAP/WMS, Oracle

Duties and Responsibilities:

Client Relationships: Ensuring client needs are consistently met within scope of service agreement; using initiative in developing custom solutions and continuous improvement processes and reporting on same.
Commercial / Financial: Thorough understanding and application of contract and service level agreement.
Operational Performance: Actively managing daily operational performance to consistently achieve performance metric targets (especially client centricity) and ensure legal and contractual compliance;
People Management: Firm and consistent approach to ongoing performance measurement & management, people development, industrial relations (labour broker employees and permanent).
SHERQ: Internal measurement & auditing of all site processes to ensure stability & improvement in areas of: Quality Management System, Health & Safety; Environment & Facility compliance / risk mitigation.
