Senior Team Manager (Automotive Plant - Warehousing / Logistics)

We are urgently recruiting for a passionate and dynamic Team Manager for an Automotive Plant - to manage, control and coordinate timeous and accurate line supply of stock. You will also ensure company objectives are met as set out by operational and general managers, and you will meet customer demands through effective supply chain management. Additionally, you will manage, develop and lead teams to ensure that best results and objectives are meet at all times.

Desired Requirements, Skills & Experience
• Relevant Tertiary Qualification (Degree) in Warehousing, Logistics, Management and Supply Chain
• Solid previous experience of managing the operations of an Automotive Warehousing and Distribution Division
• 3 years’ Team management experience gained within warehousing , automotive and line supply business or operations
• Ability to motivate a large team, schedule tasks and prioritize actions, allocate resources effectively, delegate tasks and manage projects.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Computer literate – SAP an advantage
• Drivers Licence and own vehicle

Key responsibilities will also include:
• Team Management
• Plan, manage and adjust staffing levels to meet operational requirements
• Direct the daily activity to ensure a safe, secure clean and fair working environment for team members
• Deliver team member performance reviews, development and/or succession planning as appropriate
• Facilitate effective communication
• Manage all disciplinary and grievance issues (complaints) in line with HR policy
• Ensure compliance to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)
• Ensure company policies are communicated, applied and enforced
• Work in collaboration with other sites to maximize efficiencies and best practice
• Organize and lead the focus on improved productivity levels
• Planning of manpower, MHE and shift overtime
• Manage Line Supply Processes
• Adhere to Health, Safety & Environment regulations
• Budget Management and cost controls
• Awareness of importance of security
• Operational knowledge and understanding of service delivery
• Person should be able to propose different solutions to problems
• Ability to meet time limits as set

o Location: Successful incumbent will primarily be based in Pretoria
