Requirement for Technical Analyst
Work Location: Sandton, South Africa
Mode of employment: contract (6 months and extendable)

Job Spec:

Projects

• Excellent Analytical Skills
• Communication Skills
• Write and execute SQL scripts
• Document test scenarios and test results
• Ownership - Own the requirement throughout the phases.
• Compile and maintain correspondence matrix, mock ups and data mapping document
• Document User Stories
• Good work ethic
• Conduct walkthroughs with the developers/business or clients
• Change Management – compile and implement change controls
• Do problem resolution and troubleshooting

Testing (QA)

• Compile test packs (including regression)
• Do functional (application) testing according to test packs.
• Do performance testing where relevant
• Documentation recording all test results
• Do log testing if required
• Perform Regression Testing
• Liaise with development team if testing unsuccessful
• Initiate change control and implement

UAT Support (on projects)

• Assist internal and external clients with user testing as and when required
• Perform support in the UAT cycle phase

Support

• Investigation / bug fixes of errors reported by users and database administrators
• Doing root cause analysis
• Problem analysis
• Problem resolution
• Facilitating/Assisting correspondence calendar events
• Log management
• Assist with production enhancements and implement
• Perform Stand by
• DR Support
• Ownership
• Own the requirement after production implementation till it is stabilized and can be handed over to Production support team.

Architecture
• Understanding of general Database and system architecture
